Everything Else
Transportation
Toronto’s public transit is phenomenal. You can take the bus, streetcar, subway, or taxis/Ubers throughout the city. You can pay for everything using a credit card. You might see signs for a Presto card (the local transit card) but you don’t need one to get around. The subway (underground) is your fastest way to move north/south, while you’ll need the streetcar or bus to move east/west throughout downtown.
Unless you are driving from the US, we wouldn’t recommend getting a car. It’s incredibly easy to get around the city without one!
Fitness
There are lots of gyms across the city. Some favorites: Equinox, Fuel Training, Barry’s, Sweat & Tonic. If you’re craving a workout outside of the event we organized on Friday, let us know and we can help point you in the right direction.
Beauty
There is no shortage of beauty options — hair, nails, etc — for those who need services done over the course of the weekend. Reach out to the bride for specific recommendations.
Money/Currency
You will be fine with any US credit card. There are very few things, if any, that you need cash to do. If you wish to carry any cash, we would recommend exchanging money at the airport, because there are not many currency exchange stores throughout the city.
Apps
Have Uber/Uber Eats ready on your phone to get around or order food.
Working
If you need to work while in the city, there are a number of WeWorks in the downtown area and no shortage of coffee shops where you can work with free WiFi.
